Today marks the beginning of a new journey four our school community. Today, on the 11th of September 2023, hundreds of students, pertaining to the PYP, MYP and DP, gathered around in both our Junior and Senior Campus courtyards to celebrate the start of another school year.
It was an emotional moment for our students, just as it was for their teachers and mentors, who prepared a series of encouraging and inspirational speeches that would welcome them at the gates of an exciting and challenging new adventure. With an overall sense of accomplishment, of happiness and recognition for all the hard work the school learners have put into their education so far and are sure going to keep on doing it in the future years, teachers from all departments have shown yet again their love, their friendship and dedication, they have proven that with a proper mindset, accompanied by a warm and friendly guidance, education indeed shall prevail against all odds. For there is no greater gift, than the gift of knowledge, a lesson the children from Mark Twain International School know too well and are striving, day by day, to expand its magical brilliance inside their minds and souls.
Today was also a joyous occasion for our campus students to reunite with dear friends, share their exciting summer break adventures, laugh and enjoy a wonderful sunny day inside their beloved school community. However, what feels most thrilling and truly amazing for each student in the end is that every new year holds a special place for aspirations. They get the chance to dream on further about the unknown mysteries of our world, about the endless opportunities that destiny lies ahead for everyone to grasp onto, they get to learn, discover, understand and thus beautifully perfect themselves, they get to foster their beliefs, and turn those dreams into a glorious expression of their own reality.
Grand preparations have been underway in both our Junior and Senior campuses these past few weeks, with finishing touches and last-minute tweaks being run through this weekend. After all, everything had to be perfect for our amazing students starting from day one. We wish you all a fabulous school year!
